Senior engineer for SaaS and AI products

Ali Hassan, senior engineer for SaaS and AI products and co-founder of Evoriqa.

I have been building software professionally for ten years. Today I build AI SaaS — RAG pipelines, LLM agents and AI products — and run one of my own: Evoriqa, a multi-tenant AI customer-support platform, live in production. On most projects I owned the whole thing: schema, API, interface, deploy, and the unglamorous parts afterwards.

That is a deliberate way to work rather than a shortage of colleagues. A product with one person holding the whole model in their head loses very little in translation, and the things that normally rot between teams — the schema, the access rules, the deployment — stay coherent. It also means I am honest about size: past a certain scope you want a team, and I will say so on the first call.

There is no PDF of this page, on purpose. A CV is a document about a person; this is a record of what got built, who used it, and what it did for them. If you need it on paper, print it — it is formatted for that.

The introduction video

In under three minutes: what I build and how I work, then a client, Cheryl, founder of an edtech startup, on the admin panel I built for her team.

Work history

  1. 2021

    Senior Software Engineer · Xendit

Payment infrastructure in a regulated, high-volume environment: services that had to settle correctly under load, and the reliability work that kept them doing it. Employment rather than client work, so it has no case study on this site.

  2. 2019 — 2020

Lead Software Engineer · Instant Consult

Led the rebuild of a multi-portal telehealth platform, with patients, doctors and administrators each working in their own portal over one platform. Video consultations, prescriptions and clinical records, under Australian privacy law.

  3. 2017 — 2019

    Software Engineer · endshift

Full-stack product work across client engagements: insurance back-office, travel booking with nightly inventory sync, an impact-investing platform, and a video-ad tool for e-commerce. Different domain and different stack roughly every two quarters.

  4. 2017 — present

    Independent client work

Running alongside the roles above throughout: contract and freelance builds for founders and small teams: AI products, SaaS platforms and the admin panels behind them. The ones on this site each have a full case study on the work page.

  • Ali is a great developer and had a lot of knowledge. I would recommend him for all website needs.
    Marc Abrams
  • During my time with Ali, I have seen him perform amazingly at every step. A guy with the can do attitude. Creating pixel perfect UI is his second nature. He is proficient in javascript whether its backend or frontend.

Stack, by how much I use it

Not a logo wall. A list of names tells you nothing about whether somebody has run the thing in production at 3am, so this one is ordered by depth rather than by category.

AI, in productionShipped in products people use, not in demos — retrieval, citations, evaluation and voice.

Availability

Available for new projects.

Working remotely, with clients worldwide. I would rather agree the overlap window and how we will run check-ins on the first call than assume one — it is the thing remote engagements most often get wrong.
